Rio Bravo Project
was born on a napkin in a local Mexican food restaurant…
…well that was how I first shared the idea with a close friend of mine, however the dream began years before. It wasn’t until 2018 that I finally had the guts to speak the words. Even still it took a failed knee surgery and a global pandemic two years later to make me realize that if I was going to take this step of faith and start a non-profit I had to do it now.
So in the Fall of 2020 I shared the idea with a few more friends and decided to move forward… Rio Bravo Project was born.
For 25 plus years my family and I have served in various ministries along the US/Mexico border and around the world that focused on meeting the real needs of children and families. Wherever I found myself serving around the world, my heart was always being pulled back to the families right here along the border. So I decided to take my love for children and the gifts that God has given me and begin to lay the groundwork for a new non-profit that unashamedly focuses on serving and meeting the needs of children who are the most vulnerable.
Jesus calls us to love him and our neighbors. This is what we do in real, tangible ways.
